The growth, transition, and sustainable performance that the organisation has experienced over the years obtains its success from operative HRD OD practices which included change management, strategic organizational system configuration, capability development, cultivating high performance culture, and the utilization of long term perspectives (Foster, 2013).Ultimately, these practices enabled the companyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s realization of its major targets. Howe ver, even with the commendable success, the firm has experienced various obstacles and different levels of success throughout its operation process, where some aspects of the management of HRD OD were more successful than others. This paper will highlight the success, obstacles, and the firmà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s strategic management tools, to provide insights and useful lessons for my career path.Areas of Success and InfluenceHRD and OD management ensures that an organisation achieves its long-term strategic prospects (Foster, 2013). It also supports an organizationà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s pursuance of long-term performance. To make this happen, effective HRD OD management facilitates the transformation process in a firm, organizational design, learning, and development, and ensures that a firm stays healthy and fit for unforeseeable challenges with the view to ensure that the goals and objectives of the company are realized (Golembiewski, 2008). Managers have the responsibility of overseeing and coordi nating the HRD OD functions for them to work in effectively (Yolles, 2015).Obstacles to Effective HRD OD ManagementThe interview revealed that some of the major challenges in the management of HRD OD at the workplace included a shortage of competent HRD professionals who could manage HRD OD activities effectively, coping with the demand for knowledge by workers, and fostering learning and development at the company were also cites as major challenges in the management of HRD (Rothwell Sullivan, 2005). However, the company adopted measures that ensured that those challenges did not hamper its growth. Specifically, the company adopted diversity management in all its departments, employee branding, and strategic planning to ensure an adequate work life balance (Heathfield, 2016). These are among the measures that have contributed to its current standing as a regional leader in financial services.The Keys to Success in Strategic Planning Of HRDProviding training and development opportu nities, integrating the lessons from training with the organisations goals, mission, and vision, facilitating the support from top management, and providing complementary HRM activities are among the most salient keys to strategic planning of HRD (Heathfield, 2016).
